Prescriptions can be ordered on-line through EMIS Access.
You will need to register for a PIN number with our reception.
This system is linked with your medical records and we believe that this is a robust, safe, and responsive service.
Please call in at reception with two forms of identification to get a PIN number. One identification must include your date of birth and address, and the other just your address. A utility bill must not be older than 3 months.

Repeat Prescriptions

This practice issues OVER 700 repeat prescriptions every week. To ensure your request is processed:

  • Use the tear-off slip from your prescription to order your repeat medicines.
  • Do not leave it until the last minute to ask for a repeat prescription - allow AT LEAST 2 working days for your request to be processed.
  • Order online via the link at the top of this page. First time users are required to complete a simple registration.
  • Only ask for the medicines you need and please tick the correct ones.
  • If you use a pharmacy to order your prescriptions you will be required to sign the right hand side of the request form each time to verify that you require these items, this is to reduce waste.

Repeat prescription requests are not taken over the telephone.

There is a box for requests on the ground floor of Waters Green Medical Centre, and in the surgery to put your request slips into.  Alternatively you can post your request to the surgery - if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope we will return it to you.

Pharmacy Collections

Every pharmacy in Macclesfield offers a collection and delivery service so prescription requests could also be given to your usual pharmacy.

Electronic Prescription Service

We now issue prescriptions via the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).

Prescriptions are ordered in exactly the same way, however with EPS prescriptions are sent electronically to the Pharmacy of your choice.  All patients need to do is nominate a pharmacy.  Prescriptions will then go electronically to this pharmacy.  If you wish to change your pharmacy speak to reception or your new pharmacy and a new allocation can be done.  Almost all pharmacies all over the country can accept electronic prescriptions so if you work away from the area this can be ideal.

Practice Pharmacist

If you have any questions about your medicine, such as what your medicine is for, how you should take it, any possible side effects etc., you can speak to our practice pharmacist, Helen Bianchi on 01625 264062.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

48_hoursPlease allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
